I have travel to many countries in the world but one country that has touched my heart was Australia. It is not the place I have done my MBA that make me facinate on the country because I have done my studies in other country too.
The reasons is that, while I was there, I realised the people in Australia was well mannered and this is more true especially outskirt of the cities. I went to Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba, Eumundi, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and and every where in Queensland. I have been asking questions why are people so well mannered. Why the public toilets are so clean and yet I don't see any people cleaning the toilets as we are here in Malaysia.
Another example; if you are walking and suddenly unconsiously your shoulder softly hit or rub into someone's shoulder; suprisingly, the person will say "sorry" first instead of you. It does not happen here!
Later when I was in Gold Coast, I start making random survey and I got the answers from a Canadian who migrated in 1999. You know what was the answer? " The people here has no pressure living in Australia. The goverment gives no pressure living here, and thats why people is well mannered and polite".
I had a deep thought on the statements. I believe that is true and act as the main factor. I then realise there is no Toll for the Highways, there is no parking tickets for the parking in the town and even in Gold Coast.
So do we have it here? In Kuala Lumpur? In Port Dickson. I have a believe that here we have tremendous pressure everyday. Every moves there are presuress. Bills are inreasing, groceries are increasing, Toll increasing, Parking, 'Toilet Fees' - inreased from 10 cents to 30 cents now and yet my mother had her tendon of calcenous cut off due to a slippery toilet of 30 cents fee. That caused our family a few thousand for her operation.
So where are we? My perspective is quite clear on this.

Salam, saya kini menetap di brisbane, saya rasa parking kereta disini kena bayar dgn kadar yang agak mahal, dikawasan universiti pun seperti The University Of Queensland mengenakan bayaran meletak kenderaan diantara 1.50 per jam atau 3 per entry mengikut kawasan, di gold coast sendiri pun ada kawasan yang berbayar, Tol juga dikenakan di beberapa tempat laluan lebuhraya. Dalam aspek kebersihan memang diakui bersih. Tandasnya bersih, taman permainan terjaga, laluan pejalan kaki terpelihara.

Terima kasih dengan komen diberikan. sebenarnya saya membuat perbandingan apple to apple. Jumlah gaji diterima perbelanjaan, tol, petrol,korupsi, standard of living dan kos sara diri. Sini parking dah hampir tidak wujud RM1.50 sejam. Bahkan per entry lazimnya RM7.00. ketika saya pulang ke Australia saya dapati lebih menyenangkan. Jauh bezanya.

Di salah sebuah shopping mall terkenal di Malaysia (Sunway Pyramid) caj parkingnya RM1 untuk 3 jam pertama Isnin-Jumaat, RM3 untuk Sabtu-Ahad. RM1 untuk setiap jam seterusnya.
